The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
