Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
Stateside entertainer Finn, who appeared in beloved TV shows including "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA this Monday having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He saw everyone as a friend - only friends he didn't know yet," his family shared in a statement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive Television Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of hit series, like:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his television work, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"He coached, befriended and mentored many learners throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find a person anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote publicly.
Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
