The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's release, to players developing firm opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, providing an constant stream of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.
